Why Siliguri, you might ask? Well, our founder, Ms. Shreya Goyal was born and raised in Siliguri.  It all began as a passion project with a simple yet powerful goal: to empower children in her hometown with basic tech skills from early childhood. After successfully building her career in the startup ecosystem and gaining experience in the tech education industry, she realized the importance of early skill development. Driven by her passion for guiding the youth, Shreya decided to return to her roots and bring back all that she learned to uplift her community.

Whizen started from a humble offline centre in the heart of Siliguri. Shreya envisioned that children living in smaller towns don’t miss the opportunity just because of where they’re from. She knew the struggle for kids in tier 3 and tier 4 cities – no access to technology, poor resources, less exposure, and fewer chances to build those critical skills. Introducing Whizen was her way of bridging this gap by making corresponding high-quality and accessible tech education nearby.

Parents trusted Whizen not only for its grounding in the local neighbourhood but also for the face-to-face, high-class learning offered. This trust became the foundation of Whizen for Your Child’s Coding Journey, leading to the start of online coding classes for kids, which allowed Whizen to teach children in the Northeast and West Bengal. Understanding the value of starting young, Whizen also began offering coding classes for younger students, expanding its programs to cover kids from Grade 1 to Grade 12.

At its heart, Whizen Academy is deeply connected to its community. Whizen wants to establish itself as a leader in coding education for kids by providing access to high-quality learning. It is not just a tech school, rather it’s a place where young minds are encouraged for innovation.
